What is the power consumption of this module during normal mode and sleep mode?

The MT5634SMI current consumption specs are:


3.3V models typical - 180mA @ 3.3V, 290mA @3.6V, 88mA in sleep mode.

Note: Although the spec. allows for a maximum supply voltage of 3.6V on the 3.3V models the current cunsumption is much higher at 3.6V.

5V models typical - 245ma @ 5V ,420mA @ 5.25V, 148mA in sleep mode.

Like the 3.3V models the 5V models draw much more current when operated at the maximum supply voltage (5.25V) compared to the nominal supply voltage (5.0V).

With the MT5634SMI series sleep mode is controlled by S89 a value of 0 disables sleep mode, a value of 5-255 sets the number of seconds that the modem needs to be inactive before entering sleep mode.



The MT5600SMI current consumption specs are:


Typical 140ma @ 3.3V maximum 160ma (@3.6V) , sleep mode: 30mA typical 50mA max.

With the MT5600SMI sleep mode is controlled by S24, a value of 0 is disabled and 1-255 sets the number of seconds that the modem needs to be inactive before entering sleep mode.
