The peak supply current for the GPRS modem occurs during transmit bursts. If the modem is transmitting at max power, then the peak current is 1.3A. This peak current draw occurs every 4.6mSec. The duration of this peak depends on the mode of operation. For GPRS class 10, the duration of this peak is 1.15mSec. For GPRS class 2 or class 8 and for GSM operation, the duration of the peak is .58mSec.
