Supported document ( attachment ) types and attachment size for the various submitting ( sending ) methods and models of FaxFinder

The accepted file attachment types are (regardless of sending method or model of FaxFinder):

.TIF, .TIFF, .PDF, .TXT, .PS

The maximum attachment size is dependent on the method of sending (submitting) faxes and the model of FaxFinder to which it is submitted. The maximum attachment sizes increased to the following specifications as of server firmware version 2.1.0.

The accepted maximum attachment size (regardless of file type) when submitting the attachment via FaxFinder Client Software, API and T.37 is:

4,500,000 Bytes for the FF130 & FF230 model units.
8,250,000 Bytes for the FF430 & FF830 model units.

The accepted maximum attachment size (regardless of file type) when submitting the attachment via the WEB interface Send Fax menu is:

6,000,000 Bytes for the FF130 & FF230 model units.
11,000,000 Bytes for the FF430 & FF830 model units.

Please Note: Sending via the FaxFinder Client Software, T.37 e-mail and API have a smaller maximum size (compared to the Send Fax WEB interface) because their method of transfer requires the document be base 64 encoded before sending (which increases the overall file size, bringing it up close to the 6MB or 11 MB limit of the different FaxFinder Server models).

Additional Note: The limit for the FaxFinder Client Software is the same regardless if using the Mutli-Tech FaxFinder Printer (performing a print capture) or if manually attaching a document within the Schedule Fax menu. Either way, the attached document or the .tif created by the print capture process has to be within the max size.
