Manual installation method:

There should be a folder named manual install or drivers with a Win2KXP folder on the Install CD where these files can be found.

- When you plug the USB cable in, New Hardware found should prompt you for a driver. Select have disk and point to the umpusbxp.inf file.
- The next device (com port) will be detected and prompt for the driver, again select have disk and point to umpcomxp.inf file. Once this is finished you should have a<usb device>and a<usb portx>installed and listed in device manager.
- Go to<Control Panel><Phone and Modem Options>and click on<Add Modem>
- Select<Do not detect my modem I will select it from a list>,then Browse to the mtswireless.inf file on the install CD, You should then be able to select the model of the modem when prompted.
After the modem is finished installing, You should be able to go into Properties of the modem then Diagnostics and query the modem. If you see AT Commands and Responses then Windows can communicate with the modem. If the modem fails to respond check the port settings and set it to 230400 and try the query again. After the install the Power Light should be Bright.
