I have a MVP200 unit that is reporting its mac address as ffffffffffff. Does this unit need to be returned for repairs?

When the MAC address lists as all F's, the address is corrupt and you'll need to reprogram it with a utility called setaddress. This can be downloaded from our FTP site at:

https://webfiles.multitech.com/MultiVoip/Misc/setaddr.zip

Here are the instructions:

- Copy the File to the C drive.

- Power off the VOIP and leave it off.

- From a DOS prompt type in setaddr x (x = com port #. For example, 1 OR 2). Hit enter.

- The software will ask you to switch on the target which means to turn on the VOIP.

- Then it will ask for the New Mac address. Type in the address and hit enter.

- When done, cycle the power of the VOIP.
