I get an option of Com40+| and Com 1 when installing 1.05 software using a Windows 2000 lap top. My select port box in the config port setup is also blank and I'm given only Com 3 as an option. Clicking OK gives a 'Config:Read Response Error 76'.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Choosing Com 3 causes the VOIP to ask for a user name&password (none are configured). Clicking OK goes back to the first error and it continues this way until I end the task. Everything continues to work if I cancel out of Config port setup. I have to uninstall and reinstall the software to get it to work again.

RESPONSE:

The problem appears isolated to laptops with integrated (internal) modems.

A work around for this problem is to disable the internal modem, install the VOIP software and then re-enable the modem.
