How can I force the Network interface on the RF600VPN to 10MHz half duplex?

Here are the speed / duplex options for the RF600 NIC:

10 Mbps Full Duplex: 0x211
10 Mbps Half Duplex: 0x01
100 Mbps Full Duplex: 0x231
100 Mbps Half Duplex: 0x21

The values have to be set accordingly in the /etc/modules.conf file. The following log message should be seen in the /var/log/messages file:
8139too: Forcing 10/100>Mbps<full/half>-duplex operation.

You have to do the following to force the port to 10 Mbps half duplex mode.

- Log into the router using SSH (loginuser and SU) or via the console port (using Root)
- Open the file /etc/modules.conf with the VI editor
- After the lines for the eth0, eth1, eth2, add the line options 8139too media=,0x01,

The file should look like this:
...................................
alias eth2 8139too
options 8139too media=,0x01,
...................................

Now, reboot the box. The /var/log/messages file should show that the eth1 interface has been forced to half duplex. If you want to force all the interfaces, the line in /etc/modules.conf has to be like:

options 8139too media=0x231,0x01,0x231
