Regional Product Approvals
Multi-Tech pursues country-specific approvals where required by the local government of
that country. In addition, widespread approvals such as the CE mark and Pan-European
approvals are also obtained on many products deemed marketable for European country
markets.
European standards are developed in one of the
three European standards organizations.
- CEN (European Committee for Standardisation)
deals with all sectors except the electrotechnology
and telecommunication sectors.
- Cenelec (European Committee for Electrotechnical
Standardisation) deals with standards in the
electrotechnical field.
- ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards
Institute) covers the telecommunications field and
some aspects of broadcasting.
