Directory of Drivers for Multi-Tech Products
This page organizes the device drivers available for Multi-Tech products. If
you've spoken with a Multi-Tech support technician and you know the name of the file you
need, use the Listing by Filename page to locate the
driver.
You may also select the driver based on Multi-Tech product name (use selection box,
above).
Note: When installing drivers from this website, please note that they
are the most current available and may be in the process of being submitted for
certification. If you get a pop-up window during install asking for a <model_name>.cat file, please click YES and
continue the installation; the absence of this file does NOT affect modem performance in
any way.
What is a device driver
A device driver is a module of software that enables one specific operating system to
recognize and communicate with a piece of hardware. Operating systems are written to
understand hardware from many manufacturers of such core devices as mice, keyboards, and
monitors. Additional "peripheral" devices, such as printers, scanners, and
modems, may also have drivers included in a given operating system.
When a device is not considered mainstream, or when the capabilities of that device go
beyond that of its generic counterparts, a specific driver for that device is often
necessary for the operating system to make use of its specialized features or to enable
robust operation.
